Aurelthorne Shipping Policy

At Aurelthorne, every piece is crafted with precision and delivered with care. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, packaged, and shipped, and outlines your responsibilities upon delivery.


1. Order Processing Times

1.1 Custom Pieces

All bespoke and custom-made creations require production time before shipment. Typical production time is 5–10 business days after CAD approval, unless otherwise stated.
Production may take longer during high-demand periods or for complex designs.

1.2 Ready-to-Ship Items

Ready-to-ship items dispatch within 1–3 business days unless otherwise noted.

Processing times exclude weekends and holidays.


2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Estimates

2.1 Carriers

Aurelthorne ships via trusted carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or Canada Post Xpresspost, depending on the destination and insurance requirements.

2.2 Delivery Estimates (Not Guaranteed)

Any delivery dates, timeframes, or estimates provided at checkout or by email are estimates only.
Delivery timelines cannot be guaranteed due to factors outside of Aurelthorne’s control, including:

  • carrier delays

  • customs processing

  • weather or transit disruptions

  • peak-season backlogs

No estimated delivery date constitutes a guaranteed delivery commitment.


3. Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on:

  • delivery address

  • carrier selection

  • insurance level

  • package weight and size

Certain orders may qualify for complimentary shipping at Aurelthorne’s discretion.


4. Signature Requirement & Secure Delivery

4.1 Signature on Delivery

To protect your purchase, all shipments valued at CAD $300 or more require:

  • adult signature upon receipt

  • photo ID verification where required by carrier policy

Packages will not be left unattended or at a doorstep.

4.2 Delivery to Residential or Commercial Addresses

You are responsible for providing an accurate, safe delivery address.
Aurelthorne is not responsible for loss or theft after the package is successfully delivered and signed for.


5. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to you at the moment Aurelthorne hands the package to the carrier for shipment.
For insured shipments, any loss or damage claims must follow the carrier’s insurance procedures.

Aurelthorne will assist in coordinating claims when applicable, but is not liable for carrier decisions.


6. Shipping Insurance

6.1 Included Insurance

Most shipments include insurance up to the value of the item.

6.2 High-Value Shipments

Pieces exceeding certain thresholds may require:

  • additional insurance

  • specialized carriers

  • armored or high-security shipping partners

You will be notified if additional costs apply prior to dispatch.


7. International Shipping

Aurelthorne ships internationally to select countries.

7.1 Duties & Taxes

International customers are responsible for any applicable:

  • import duties

  • VAT/GST

  • brokerage fees

  • customs clearance charges

These fees are not included in the checkout total and must be paid to the carrier or customs authority upon arrival.

7.2 Customs Delays

Aurelthorne is not responsible for delivery delays caused by customs inspections or regulatory holds.


8. Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses

If a package is returned due to:

  • incorrect address

  • refusal of delivery

  • failure to pick up from a carrier facility

  • undeliverable location

You may be responsible for:

  • reshipment fees

  • return carrier charges

  • any associated customs or import fees

Custom Pieces will not be refunded under any circumstances.


9. Packaging

All orders are packaged in protective, discreet outer packaging with no jewelry-related markings.
Luxury Aurelthorne packaging is enclosed within the protected shipment materials.


10. Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Packages

10.1 Before Delivery

If a package is lost or damaged before delivery, Aurelthorne will assist in submitting an insurance claim with the carrier.

Claims must follow carrier timelines and procedures.
Replacement timelines may vary depending on claim outcome.

10.2 After Delivery

Once a package is marked as “delivered” and signed for, Aurelthorne is not responsible for:

  • theft

  • loss

  • damage occurring after successful delivery


11. Split Shipments

Aurelthorne may ship items separately depending on availability, production timelines, or insurance limitations.
No additional shipping fees apply for split shipments.


12. Tracking

You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear depending on the carrier.


13. Shipping Restrictions

We cannot ship to:

  • P.O. boxes (for high-value shipments)

  • freight forwarders

  • certain international jurisdictions restricted for insurance or regulatory reasons

You will be notified if your destination falls under a restricted category.
